online training during the summer. There will classes targeting two related
career paths:
1) Biostatisticians for pharmaceutical industry - require Ph.D in statistics
or Master with super GPA.
2) Clinical SAS programmers (require MS in stats)
the goal is to prepare you to be either an entry level statistician or
clinical SAS programmer in the pharmaceutical industry. Training will not
gurantee you a job, but will definitely help you to compete with those who
do not have the training, and will definitely help you at your work if you
do get a position in the pharmaceutical industry.
There will be the following 4 modules:
1) SAP writing and ADaM specifications
2) TLF programming
3) SDTM programming
4) ADaM programming

Yes. I have 16 years experiences. Another person who teaches SAS has 20
years in pharma.

it is always a hard issue for Bancova. We had it free from 2006 to 2012.
We collected $800 from each student in 2013fall and 2014spring. The
difficulty is that I hate to see students spend too much on this; but to
invite a professional to give training needs money even it is on a half
volunteer basis. Also, to have some funds to do social net working is
extremely important for helping students find jobs even I strongly believe
in the knowledge and skills we develop here (at least two CRO keep asking
for bancova students).
The bottom line is that we will not let ONE student down because of the lack
of capacity of paying the fee (we waived at least 3 students fees because
of their financial difficulties). |

发帖数: 201 | 15 to my knowledge, there were at least 3 students with biology major found SAS
programmer jobs after training. Two of them for SDTM only, one works as a
statistical programmer (he learnt some stats courses though). To answer
your question, it is possible if you dont mind focusing on programming SDTM
since there is a great demand in this area. |
