Yesterday, under the broad sunlight, in the backyard,
those flowers smiled at me and scented with the spring breeze.
So radiant, so joyful, I was immersed in elation.
Nothing to give, I couldn't reciprocate the favor.
Last night, strong wind and rain swept through the plane.
Now they are all gone, nowhere to be found.
I hoped they will always be there for me,
instead, like transient beauties, taken by the almighty.
If only nature had carried them to eternity, but he fumbled,
like a young and inexperienced running back,
after tackled by the wind, a gusting linebacker.
Even worse, now the ball is completely out of the stadium,
thrown by a reckless yet powerful quarterback.
Next spring, flowers will blossom on the same branches again.
I will enjoy and have a good time.
Whether they are the same flowers and simply return,
whether they have the identical identities,
I don't really care. Seemingly oblivion grants me
a different indifference each year.
But one thing is certain:
their brief visit delighted our world,
left a riddling impression.

全诗看，我觉得更像叙事文+议论文，觉得可以在省略一些。不过你的语感很好，英文
读起来挺舒服。 | L****o

and smoothly.
Having the opposite feeling for those from Shot so far. Love his Chinese
works, but the English ones sound like that he has the idea in Chinese first
and tried to do a good translation from that.
Anyway, you guys are amazing. And I am really enjoying reading your pieces.:
