back pressure.
If the plane bounce up after contacting the runway, you were having
excessive airspeed, which means you didn't pull back early enough.
You need to constantly adjust the back pressure during the entire flaring
process. Look outside to judge where the runway is, and look inside to
maintain airspeed. When you enter ground effect, gradually pull back to slow
down the sink rate, but you don't need to aim for a complete stall. If you
pull back too much and the plane is dropping because of lack of lift, add a
little throttle would save the landing(assuming you are not landing at a
very short runway)
Trimming the plane on final would make it a little easier on you. |
