昨天刚收到一个OFFER,但是不确定中。请问一下大家的意见。
这个POSITION是CONTRACT POSITION,RECRUITER 和MANAGER 说有可能以后转正,
MANAGER 说公司现在非常缺ENGINEERING RESOURCE,问题是要多长时间才能转成
PERMANENT,他也不知道。
工资比现在多12%左右,但是没有SICK DAY,VACATION DAY,HOLIDAY 等等。超过40小时
,1.5倍的工资,估计每个礼拜有5个小时的OVERTIME吧。
现在的公司有3个礼拜VACATION,5天PERSONAL,7个SICK DAY.
CONTRACT POSITION 的 OVERALL BENEFIT一点都不好.
纠结的地方是,我喜欢这个POSITION, LEAN MANUFACTURING. 现在的公司因为BUDGET
的原因,很多PROJECT都做不了,再混下去也不知道什么时候能有成绩出来。
现在的公司是个物流中心,新OFFER的公司是个传统制造商。
大家给点意见吧。

不去,那么多天off换成钱也不少了,更别提401k,pension,保险各种福利了

Tell recruiter, you need corp to corp pay. Not w2. Form your own company.
You can get a lot of benefit from Tax. You can just pay you very little
salary. all other part can be passed as profit, just capital gain tax. Plus,
you spend money first, then tax.
If recruiter allow corp to corp, go for that. Otherwise, not worth it.

recruiter可能就是外包公司的,估计不会同意这么干。

忘了说了,这个是STAFFING 公司的OFFER,如果我接受这个OFFER,那我将会成为
STAFFING 公司的员工,但我会在另一个公司上班。

Based on my experience, as long as the final client company does not mind
corp to corp, normally vender company will do. With contractor position,
recruiter will get comission based on hour. so corp to corp should be easier
than w2.
But, I think LZ's current offer is based on W2, if corp to corp, the money
should be higher. Because, yourself will responsible those employer tax part
.

How much of a difference in dollar value will corp to corp add compared to
W2? How difficult is it to setup corp to corp?

你是保税的吗?capital gain 也要交税呀?我过去两年都是1099,可以抵一些
business cost,可是很有限。还得自己交social security.求指点。

不要去。合同工问题很多。

I would say, ask at least 20% more. If your offer 100k, ask for 60+/ hour.
If 120k, ask $75/hour for corp to corp. if 150k, ask $95 to $100 per hour.
You get an accountant, they will charge $300 to $400 to form a company for
you. Open a business bank account is as simple as you open an individual
account.
As long as your final working company is a big company, the staffing company
cannot do any bad thing to you.
Somebody mentioned 1099. Corp to corp is different from 1099. With
corporation, you can have only 20k on w2, which need to pay ss tax, etc. all
rests are only capital gain rate is only about 15%. This is part of reason,
buffet's tax rate is only 17%, his employees' tax rate are 29%.
If you are not single income family, I highly suggest to give a try if its
new to you. Maybe you will find a new chapter of your career.

不要接受CONTRACTOR的工作.公司随时都可以终止合同,然后他们没有任何后果.

今天跟RECRUITER说了不接受他们的OFFER,很快他的MANAGER就打电话过来加价了。在之
前的OFFER基础上加了百分之三的工资,加了HOLIDAY PAY,加了一个礼拜的VACATION.
忘了问MANAGER CORP TO CORP,下次再问。
大家说下一步如何? 是继续NEGOTIATE还是说CONTRACT POSITION一文不值。
