right away.因为我没有任何其他pre-tax contribution 的 IRA account, 这个
conversion应该是 non-taxable distribution。
可是今天收到的1099-R上却显示整个conversion amount是taxable amount.打电话问
broker,他们说所有的distribution都是这样显示的,报税的时候我要自己填表证明这
个Tradition IRA contribution 是after tax,然后convert 到Roth IRA 的
distribution是non-taxable event.
请问大家有类似情况,收到的Roth IRA 都是这样显示的吗?
另外,在convert过程中生成了两分钱的利息也一起convert到了 Roth IRA一并显示在
总distribution amount里,难道我还要报这两分钱的税?还是可以不管不报这两分钱?

your IRA? You should have choose "elect not to withhold tax". |

Have you ever made such conversion with or without withholding tax? How does
it show on 1099-R? Thank you!
