P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Inc. owns and operates two restaurant concepts in
the Asian niche. P.F. Chang's China Bistro (“Bistro”) is our full service
upscale casual dining concept and Pei Wei Asian Diner (“Pei Wei”,
pronounced pay way) is our quick casual concept. In addition, we have
extended the P.F. Chang’s brand to international markets, domestic retail
products and domestic airports, all of which are operated under licensing
agreements.
The first Bistro restaurant opened in Scottsdale, AZ in 1993 and the first
Pei Wei restaurant made its debut in the Phoenix-metro area in 2000. As of
January 2, 2012, we owned and operated 204 Bistros in 39 states and 170 Pei
Weis in 23 states. We anticipate opening 2-3 new Bistro restaurants and 12-
16 new Pei Wei restaurants during fiscal 2012. Additionally, there are 16
Bistro locations in international markets, two Bistro restaurants locations
in Hawaii and one Pei Wei international location, each operated by business
partners under licensing agreements.
The P.F. Chang's dining experience provides our guests with consistently
outstanding Chinese-inspired cuisine, attentive and personal service, and an
inviting dining environment all at a great value for their dollar. The menu
at our Bistro restaurants features traditional Chinese offerings and
innovative dishes that illustrate the emerging influence of Southeast Asia
on modern Chinese cuisine. Our chefs are trained to produce distinctive
Chinese cuisine using traditional recipes from the major culinary regions of
China updated with a contemporary twist. The intense heat of Mandarin-style
wok cooking sears in the clarity and distinct flavor of fresh ingredients.
Our menu is complemented by a full service bar offering an extensive
selection of wines, specialty drinks, Asian beers and sake. We offer
superior customer service in a high energy atmosphere and a decor that
includes wood and slate floors, life-size replicas of the terra cotta Xi'an
warriors and narrative murals depicting scenes of life in ancient China.

Pei Wei caters to a quicker, more casual dining experience and serves
freshly prepared, wok-seared, contemporary pan-Asian cuisine in a relaxed,
warm environment with friendly attentive counter service and take-out
flexibility. Pei Wei offers the same spirit of hospitality and commitment to
providing fresh, high quality Asian food at a great value that has made our
Bistro restaurants successful. Entrées at Pei Wei range in price from $6.
25 - $9.50 with a selection of beer and wine available.
Our restaurants are recognized for their diverse menus, exceptional value,
and distinctive architecture and design that create a unique dining
experience for our guests.
P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Inc. had consolidated revenues totaling $1.2
billion during fiscal 2011.
On July 2, 2012, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Inc. was acquired by
Centerbridge Partners, L.P.
