My comment
(a) Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sikorsky_SH-60_Seahawk
(a member of the Sikorsky S-70 family; Introduced 1984; Status In production
, in service)
(b) AgustaWestland AW159 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AgustaWestland_AW159
(First Flight 2009; Developed from Westland Super Lynx; Length: 15.24 m (50
ft);
* AgustaWestland is an Anglo-Italian helicopter design and manufacturing
company, from merger of Augusta of Italy and Westland Helicopters of UK.
(c) AgustaWestland AW101 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AgustaWestland_AW101
(rebranded from EH101 in June 2007; Introduced 2000; Length: 22.81 m (74 ft
10 in))
(d) Lockheed P-3 Orion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_P-3_Orion
(Introduced 1962)
Compare
Boeing P-8 Poseidon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_P-8_Poseidon
(Introduced 2013 (projected))
(e) Oddly, this report only talks about hardware rather than software, which
seems more important to me. As for comparison of helicopter (a to c) and
fixed-wing aircraft (d) as the platform n anti-submarine warfare (ASW), I do
not know.
