I live in China and I have ridden the high speed rail.It's extremely
affordable and purrs like a kitten.
No kidding the thing sails along.I haven't ridden the 300 mph one, the idea
kind of freaks me out but I can tell you that the Chinese don't do things
half way.
When they're good, they're good.The new technology is great stuff.Most of
the western ideas about China are complete @#$%. Americans in general suffer
from isolationism and white superioriy complex. |

However, there is absolutely no mention of cost, displaced families, or
ecological impact. If you think for one second that the US can attempt a
project of this magnitude without a million people griping, then you're
mistaken. And that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's more of an indictment
of the Chinese government's ability to put down dissent at all costs and
generate an endless stream of propaganda.

的封闭空间里。美国高铁技术？这个回帖是最好的回答。

success? If there was any economic viability to this system it would have
already been done in America years ago. The truth is its a money loser and
the cost of tickets would not be adventageous over taking a plane which will
get to your destination in under half of the time. Good luck with your choo

US.
First. US Cities are densely packed and for the most part close to one
another, making the need for high speed rail pointless.
Second: High speed trains require a different gauge of track and cannot
use current railway systems,
Third, Why would you want to take a train when you can fly... flying is
2 times cheaper than rail, 5 times faster and 1/3 the carbon and economic
footprint as rail. |

半点。
在美国卖的，感觉都是5年前（洗衣机）或2年前（电视）的旧款。
