insomnia is associated with anxiety or depression. A psychiatrist may be
more confident than primary care physician in making diagnosis and
prescribing medications.
It is probably helpful to be aware that short-lasting insomnia is just so
common that almost everyone experiences that at some point of their life.

melatonin也差不多。此外还有肠胃功能不好。
可能有些焦虑吧,总是怀疑自己得了什么大病。

Early wake up is a common phenomena as we age. Of course, anxiety,
depression, as well as many other issues can add to the problem. Both
insomnia and irritable bowel are common complaints in otherwise healthy
individuals, but they also appear in more severe disease states. However,
it is worth a medical evaluation if that bothers you and adds on to your

像上了闹钟一样。
经历过美国家庭医生的效率,非常失望。真想直接去个sleep center约一下了。再这样
下去我会疯了。

insomnia probably is not what sleep centers routinely treat. Before your
PCP visit comes, there are several things that you can do to improve your
sleep hygiene.
1) avoid naps during the day
2) avoid intense activities prior to sleep
3) avoid caffeine (coffee, tea) at all if possible, or at least after lunch
4) make sure that your sleep environment is comfortably cool, dark, quiet

Thanks for the detailed answers. Unfortunately I stick to all above, and don
't have any unhealthy sleeping habit during the past months.
I used to have some sleeping problem but they mostly related to not being
able to fall asleep. I did try some sleeping pills, or even rely on alcohol,
for some time, to make the problem go away.
But during the past months, the symptons suddenly switch to waking up early.
I took Melatonin, Unisom and Lorazepam (prescribed by my PCP). Melatonin
