I give you credit
you lost 30 pounds-
let’s review the chart.
Last time your total cholesterol was 260.
The HDL was below 35.
The LDL was above 160.
You didn’t have hypothyroidism or diabetes
or even a family history,
This was all happening in the kitchen
and the study
and in front of the tube.
On exam I found
this was all
hanging over your belt:
you needed a walk.
I said, if it tastes good,
don’t eat it
or more accurately
if it tastes good
spit it out.
