I am a hydrogeologist from a US national lab and need help with solving the
following problem. If any one can solve the problem, I would like to invite
him or her to coauthor the paper that I am working on now.
-1/2*df/dh=d(df/ds*dE/dx)/dx+d(df/ds*dE/dz)/dz
where
d =partial derivative sign
E=h+z
f=f(h,s)
h=h(x,z)
s=(dE/dx)**2+(dE/dz)**2
Need to find a function G(h,s) such that the above equation can transformed
to
d(GdE/dx)/dx+d(GdE/dz)/dz=0
Thanks in advance! |
