一个furnace maintainance公司给估了个价, 95% efficiency的要3000多刀after tax
credit and PGE rebate.

duct work? what exactly are you getting for parts and labor?
We are talking about FAG not heat pump, just want to make sure, right?

发帖数: 364 | 3 I believe it's FAG though I'm not sure what a heat pump is.
I didn't even ask the brand and the size :( I'm such a newbie on that. I've
presumed it's about same size as my current furnace for a 1800sqf two-floor
SFH.
It's a new furnace installlation so I think it includes a new blower. There
seems to be some duct work but not much, definitely not for the whole house.
The price I mentioned includes all parts and labor, but I don't know how it
splits. I was told a quote about $4000-4500, and there

发帖数: 4125 | 4 It is a ok price (not good deal) for good new furnace (such as Trane XC95M
or Carrier Infinity ICS). Both are rated 95% AFUE.
But get more detail first, just make sure he does not sell you a cheap brand.

The technician says this one is only 70k BTU since it's more efficient).
Is this a good brand with good feature and reputation?

car, but it's about this range.
Furnaces are rated by input BTU, so, if the newer one is more efficient, you
can use a smaller size.

发帖数: 364 | 8 今天又请一个Chinese contractor来看了看，听起来人不错。他说这个furnace其实还
行，应该再用个十年没问题。就是以前维护的不好，所以要tune up一下做些清洁，换
个sensor，要$250左右。靠谱的话我就省点钱先不换了。要换新的话，他的价格也比之
前那个老美公司的便宜不少。
想想一个新的furnace，就算更efficient，就我们只有俩人的用法，一年也省不出100
块。

reasonable price.
for a new energy efficient furnace,u can now claim up to $800 cash rebate
through a new federal program starts just this year.and another several
hundred from similar programs run by state and local utility companies.it
might be a fairly great deal if u live in a heavily subsidized state like CA

装一个普通的，80%-90%efficiency的，只要$2200-$2500。
