Vice President of Corporate Development (China Location)
This private equity group seeks a talented Vice President of Corporate
Development with transaction execution experience and project management to
join our Corporate Development team.
The VP of Corporate Development will serve as a project manager in a growing
department that develops new financial businesses for the group. This
individual will be based in Beijing, Hong Kong or Shanghai, and will focus
specifically on market access projects in China. Responsibilities include:
researching, proposing, and executing new business ideas; working with
various teams at the firm to develop and generate new ventures; managing
engagements and due diligence with external partners; shaping corporate
strategy; and regularly presenting recommendations to the firm's senior
management.
The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of work experience, ideally in
investment banking and/or corporate development, and exposure to financial
services is a definite plus. Candidates should also have a strong
understanding of the regulatory process and laws in China. The successful
candidate will be a creative, critical thinker with exceptional project
management, analytical, and communication skills. An outstanding academic
record from a top-tier university is required.

for its Credit Opportunities strategy in Asia (Singapore or Hong Kong). The
Credit Opportunities investment desk invests in distressed debt, high yield,
and credit driven special situations across the Asia Pacific region.
Responsibilities include: performing initial investment/trade reviews,
generating investment ideas, undertaking company and industry due diligence,
financial and trade modeling/valuation, and monitoring markets and
investments. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in a
private equity, credit investment, research or investment banking role at a
top firm. Asian investing experience is strongly preferred, as is
