J***b 发帖数: 76 | 1 A junior and a senior postdoctoral fellows are required to study synaptic
transmission/plasticity and addiction in the laboratories of Drs. Dorit Ron
and Jun Wang at the Gallo Research Center and the University of California,
San Francisco.
Research in the labs uses state-of-the-art technologies, including patch-
clamp recording from genetically identified neurons using transgenic animals
, dual-channel optogenetics, viral-mediated regulation of specific genes,
analysis of structural plasticity using 3-D reconstruction of single neurons
in combination with molecular and behavioral procedures. The positions also
offer opportunity to be part of a collaborative team of multidisciplinary
laboratory scientists and of a vibrant research community in UCSF mission
bay campus.
Requirements:
Candidates with a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in Neuroscience and prior in depth
experience with slice electrophysiology, including whole-cell and cell-
attached recordings, are encouraged to apply. Ability to measure
glutamatergic transmission in striatal slices and dopaminergic firing in
midbrain slices is desired. Experience with immunohistochemistry and
confocal imaging is a big plus.
