Sr. Firmware Engineer
Reporting to the Director of Firmware Engineering, perform electronics
engineering design and integration, implement embedded firmware and user
interface software of company products. Assist in planning and defining all
aspects of digital and software functionality of wireless products.
Document work and communicate key design aspects to design team and
management. Assist radio frequency (RF) system and integrated circuit (IC)
designers with defining system requirements to ensure scalable and
economical overall system design. Participate in design reviews; report and
document results. May assist with other mission critical tasks.
Requirements
BS Computer Engineering, or related, or equiv., plus five yrs. embedded
firmware engineering experience. Master’s degree, or equiv. accepted in
lieu of two years’ experience. Five years must include: 1) 3 yrs.
experience in C/C++ for firmware design; 2) 2 yrs. experience with ARM cores
and assembly; 3) 2 yrs. exp. with demonstrated knowledge of peripheral
communications protocols, including SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) and
I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit); 4) 2 yrs. exp. with strong knowledge of real
-time operating systems (RTOS); 5) familiarity with hardware description
languages (HDL); 6) demonstrated knowledge of digital signal processing
algorithms (e.g., Fast Fourier transforms (FFT); 7) familiarity with printed
circuit board (PCB) design and layout. | y**********u
