There is no law stating that USCIS can deny H1B petitions based on Level 1
wage criteria. But we know whats going on today. Looks like if they want to
bring a change, they are getting it done somehow and in the process, many
talented people are losing their work authorizations. You can’t simply make
salary as a criteria in a country where a high school drop out restaurant
owner or undergraduate in computer science from community college can make
more money than a PhD grad in mechanical engineering from Stanford.
Everyone,
I am a victim of the recent H1B transformation and I can only say that if
you are good at what you do (everyone is, at their own level), rest of the
world needs you. Be open for global opportunities and you’ll be amazed
