Registration to User Authentication and Account Management, Membership plays

Job Responsibilities
Come help design the largest identity management system in the world! The
Yahoo! Membership team owns Yahoo!'s identity management system. We provide
the platform for customers and partners to create, manage and secure user
accounts through online access and web service APIs. We are looking for
seasoned software professional to work with partners inside and outside of
Yahoo! to extend and apply our platform. This is a strongly technical
position, but also one that requires the ability to work well with product
managers, engineers and management.
If you can meet people and quickly get to the essence of their issues. If
you can make good recommendations on how they should architect their systems
or design new protocols to meet their needs while aligning their
requirements with the core team's roadmap. If you feel you can bring order
to the many competing demands on an architectural vision and help chart the
future of that vision. If you can play a leading role in cross team projects
to ensure we build the right product with the right architecture and
feature set. Then we would like to talk to you.
Minimum Job Qualifications
3-5 years experience in the development of large scale software applications
2 years experience designing APIs or protocols
2 years experience developing software using an Object Oriented language
such as C++ or Java
Willing to code and have regular hands-on experience in the past 2 years.
Knowledge and experience in building large scale applications using various
software design patterns and OO design principles
BSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field. MSCS or
PhD preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent written and verbal English
Desirable Technical Experience:
* Familiarity with Identity Management System. Familiarity with industry
standards such as Liberty, OpenID, OAuth, SAML, etc.
* Strong experience in API, SDK, and Web Service design
* Understanding of web related security issues
* Proficiency in C++ and PHP
* Proficiency in HTML, XML, and SOAP
* Familiarity with Apache or other web servers
* Experience in shell scripting and Perl
* Experience in UNIX development and deployment (FreeBSD or Linux is a plus)
* Working knowledge of SQL and RDBMS

received and interviews are being scheduled. If you haven't heard anything
back yet, it's probably in the queue. (It's a not-that-big team trying to
hire for themselves with limited resources.) Please be patient.
