Goldman Sachs:
FI Sales Middle Office IT Team develops, maintains and supports suites of
application and technology infrastructure for FI Cash Products to support
Sales Middle Office, Trading and Regulatory Operations functions. The
application functionality include trade booking/capture, allocations,
confirmation/affirmation for voice and electronic flows, sales-to-trader
trade match and regulatory reporting. These applications use C/C++, SQL,
Java, Perl and enterprise level messaging products under Unix environment.
Current global team has presence in New York, London, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
Role and Responsibilities
As integral member of NY team, the candidate will learn existing system and
business flows, understand the functionality of current electronic booking
services and related reference data services/components and will support,
maintain and enhance existing applications and provide business support for
middle office and sales management users. 2011 projects include re-writing
services for electronic trade booking, participating in migration strategy
of legacy components to new platform, migration to Sybase 15 and Solaris 10
and various business driven enhancements. Development process must adhere to
best practices recommended by Sales Core and/or Technical Excellence Group
(TEG), including detailed design and implementation reviews by TEG team at
all logical stages of design and implementation cycle.
Basic Qualifications
Successful candidates will be self starter and highly motivated
individuals with strong analytical, technical, interpersonal skills and
ability to quickly learn and adapt to dynamic business environment. Good
communication skills are very important as role requires interaction with
various client base and various technology teams.
Desired Skills/Experience
. Experience designing and developing real-time enterprise level
applications in service oriented architecture
. Strong Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Development skills
. Candidates should have in-depth hands-on development experience in C/C++
in enterprise level distributed applications under Unix/Linux environment.
. Candidates must have basic proficiency with Java
. In depth DB and SQL experience - preferably Sybase.
. Experience with enterprise level software development, build and
deployment tools.
. Some understanding of FI cash products is desirable
. Motivated and self-starter with strong sense of ownership and drive -
delivery and business focused.
. Strong communication skills in global team environment
. Attention to quality and detail
