Job Description:
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly-motivated individual
seeking a challenging technical role within the financial industry. The
successful candidate will join the Equity Investment Management Research
Team to provide technology solutions for the buy side equity quantitative
and fundamental investment teams.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Acquisition and integration of historical market data sources
• Requirements gathering, design and implementation of risk and return
models, synthetic data types, vendor to vendor mapping and data loading
• Simplification and automation of existing manual processes
• Demonstration of predictable and rigorous test results, which will
require acquiring a deep understanding of the data and performing a
comprehensive impact analysis.
• Provide overnight support for batch jobs
Required Qualifications
• Strong SQL database with experience in SQL queries and stored
procedures (Microsoft or Sybase) or strong C++ programming.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or
Economics
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Strong analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Matlab, R, Factset or Bloomberg
• Experience working in the finance industry
