This email is in response to your inquiry regarding Mr. xxxx’s Form I-485,
Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status (LIN1xxx),
which was filed with USCIS on December 22, 2016. According to USCIS
electronic records, standard elements of the background check process
associated with Mr. xxx’s permanent residency case were recently completed.
The Alien File (A-File) containing your constituent’s application should
soon be referred to an administrative review process at the Nebraska Service
Center (NSC). The basis of your constituent’s application, the current
availability of an immigrant visa number, confirmation of results from the
aforementioned background check process, and the placement of your
constituent’s case in an appropriate processing queue from which it may be
assigned to an adjudicating officer in the Employment-Based Form I-485 Unit
at the NSC are among the issues that may be addressed in the administrative
review process. Please note that there are a number of variables, including
the volume of permanent residency cases, the completion of administrative
processing, and the availability of adjudication resources, which can impact
the timeframe within which permanent residency applications are assigned to
adjudicating officers at the NSC. |
