RFE, 质疑contribution一项， 请大家帮我分析一下应该如何准备：
Evidence of your original scientific, scholarly contributions of major
significance in the field.
a. The petitioner asserts that he has made numerous original scientific
contributions of major significance in the field of XXX; he has published
his work, his work has been cited independently a small number of times; he
has served as a reviewer for several journals; and presented his work at
conferences.
b. This criterion has not been met because the evidence submitted doesn’t
show that your contributions are considered to be of major significance in
the field of endeavor. The USCIS only confirm a small number of independent
citations to your published work. Self-citations and citations made by your
research group are not considered.
c. The service acknowledges receipt of your publication and citation record.
Now please submit updated documentation of the citation record regarding
your publications including printouts of search results from Google Scholar.
Please note that such printout must contain the title, authors, and
publication information. Search results do not contain such details will not
be considered evidence.
我有几个疑问：
1，USCIS在上面没有提到我的推荐信？一般RFE还要再加几封？
2，我的citation确实比较弱，特别是independent的，该如何应对？
3，最后一段，是要update最新的citation吧？这个不是在说我递交的材料格式不对吧
？现在citation估计只会多几个而已。 | z***b

1，USCIS在上面没有提到我的推荐信？一般RFE还要再加几封？
--最好找你的独立引用人出推荐信，用事实证明你的significant
impact to the field，2-3封吧
2，我的citation确实比较弱，特别是independent的，该如何应对？
--仔细阅读你的每一篇引用，看看有没有出彩的地方，例如有人大段引用了，高度赞扬
了，或者这在你基础上搞出新东西了。留意引用你的paper的牛机构，牛人。
就算是自引，也挖掘一下是不是用你的成果出了新的成果，包括专利之类的，申请到了
新的funding等等。。。
3，最后一段，是要update最新的citation吧？这个不是在说我递交的材料格式不对吧
？现在citation估计只会多几个而已。
--我的理解，你claimed的独立引用数没得到他们的承认。因为io提到了他专门试图找
你的独立引用数。保险起见，不只新的要提供，旧的也要（不单单是Google scholar的
搜索结果，最好附上引用文章的首页，引用页和最后的reference list）。 | m***g

In the RFE, do you think it is better to show "These citations/letters are
newly added in this RFE" or just put all things together to support the
contribution without mention what is newly added?

你翻翻那些独立引用，找几个nice的教授写很强的推荐信吧
