If I140 is pending, you definitely can't change your job, since your I140 is
sponsored by that company. If you want to change a job soon, submit your
I140 after you go to the new company and make sure that the new company can
sponsor your I140.
Very likely no.
However, if your 485 is very close to be approved in time, and if you moved
out of the old company not because of you, but because of some
uncontrollable situations such as a lay-off, and the company does not report
anything to USCIS, your 485 might be approved as if nothing happened.
Also, if there's not much gap between this old job and a new job in a
similar field, your 485 approval would be mostly safe, even if there was any
RFE.
140 application does not change your status. Find a new company that
sponsors H1B.
Still, find a new company that sponsors H1B.
Or perhaps if you got your EAD before 485 approval, you could use EAD rather
than applying for a new H1 to work for the new company.

485 pending for >180 days with 140 approved (not sure if 140 is approved
after you change).

这样说来,485交了6个月后就没事了，即使没工作也可以在家里合法的等485批了？当然
，如果不批就没办法了。
不过这六个月是指140 approved后的六个月，还是485交后的六个月（和140一起交的话
，前面的日子也算）？ |
