peasant 还是想说farmer， 我肯定地说是peasant， 我之所以肯定，是因为中国日报

意义。peasant一般是指中古时期或者前近代的农民，很多带有人身依附关系，甚至有
些就是农奴。

你教授说的农奴的标准的词汇应该是serf
Serf：a member of a servile feudal class bound to the land and subject to
