看上它的ZFS，bt，webGUI，结果问题不断。使用Samba，
client 是 Windows 7 和 mac os
结构各种各样的error接踵而至，上网一搜，一大片，都是完全相同问题。
tune up后速度最高20MB/s,平均10MB/s (全gigabit network)，经常没反应一分钟，然
后又好了。
specs：
mini-itx atom 330 with gigabit LAN
system drive on IDE channel
zfs 4x1tb wd HDD in RAIDZ1 form (4-1)x1=3
现在想好赖把数据导出来，（不考虑zfs upgrade了）
然后重装一个稳定的系统，再把数据倒回去。
一定要zfs 的fs，希望稳定，不出错，速度高。最好有什么Upnp之类的，不过也无所谓
。主要用Samba，服务windows xp/vista/7 和 mac os。
freeBSD 呢，还是 opensolaris / solaris， 还是 别的？

你有没有用iostat检查一下问题, 如果是CPU太慢, 你可能需要至少上个celeron e3200

主要是error太多了

网上查了一下，改tune的都tune了，Auxiliary parameters也试了无数次了。
唉，不折腾FreeNAS了。

估计solaris对zfs支持最好, 但是对samba支持的好不好就不知道了

发帖数: 541 | 5 忘了FREENAS吧，用那个就是找自虐。FREENAS本来指望用FREEBSD+ZFS来提高稳定性和
性能，结果成了最不稳定的NAS系统。
经验之谈：
如果想要自己搭的话， 建议用DEBIAN，稳定性和性能都有保障。N330 传175GB 测试中
最低83.8MB/s，绝大多数时候在90MB以上。另外，稳定性非常好。
另外，不要迷信ZFS，我们曾经广泛测试过，没觉得ZFS有任何真正的优势（也许纸面上看着有）。 |

解决了一些error 问题，

我用的ext3, soft raid 5, 读至少有70MB/s, CPU在80%+
写至少有55， CPU在150%+（另外50%是raid5的写计算）
forget ZFS吧。

NIC也是realtek的便宜货，jumbo frame只有7200。
switch或许会有影响,但是不会很大.关router什么事?你又不经过router.

Cifs transfer between server and window7 client is about 45~55MB/sec with no
jumbo frames enabled. Router does matter a bit, I was getting 30~40MB/sec
with my DGL-4300, but now I'm extremely happy with my WNDR3700.
The first thing I tried on this system actually was FREENAS with ZFS. It
wasn't impressive. Then I tried ubuntu64. I was getting 65~70MB/sec on the
same hardware in raid5 with DGL4300 router |

bit, the new 10.02 release is coming soon. If you have time to z-turn a bit,
the osol based NAS distro EON is a worth trying dedicated solution.

I guess it can tolerant another disk failure while replacing/resilvering an
already failed disk. Murphy always exist somewhere.
I hate lost data, just not feel good at all.
So for a cheap/consumer home NAS solution, stability is the very first
concern for me.
Try to search some tweaks.
