I also would like to take some classes with my wife and teach her how to
handle a firearm cause I am away alot and it's just her and the kids at home
for most of the time. So It is more important for her to be able to use the
gun approprately. |

，基本上和G19的大小差不多。还有就是XD/XDM, S&W MP9, 这些都是striker fire的手

with flash light for ~$469 at cabela.
2 3/4" low recoil 12ga 00buck shell shoots 9 pellets. Much better than 9mm
handgun.

Since you have kids at home, I don't recommend Glock for the safety concern.
I was in the simiar sitituation before. Glock lack the safety features I
was looking for. I end up with Springfield XD9. May not look as good as
Glock but it has several safety features. FYI.

what I will buy for my wife. Here are the reasons why:
1. Under stress, it is hard to shoot accurately, especially handgun.
2. If assailant charges at you, one 9mm won't do a thing. You need to apply
3-4 shots. This needs extensive training.
3. Semi-auto handguns are complicated/less reliable. You need to know how to
clear type I and type 2 malfunction.
4. Pump-action shotgun is reliable. If you shoulder it correctly, 20GA
recoil is not bad at all. Much more accurate/powerful in home defense
situation.
5. I bet you she won't have time to do the necessary training. You want your
tool to be simple/reliable/powerful. Nothing beats a shotgun for home
defense.
6. Guns are last line of defense. Get a medium sized dog is much more useful

这个俺不同意。 像glock类似的striker fire的手枪上膛扣扳机就行了， 有safety的
也只要平时多练练就习惯了。 如果怕麻烦不练的话，不管手枪还是霰弹枪，都会有问
题。还不如不要买枪。 而且现在的semi 手枪性能都不错，基本上大牌的手枪，使用好
的自卫弹，不会有性能上的问题，如果平时打自卫弹挑弹药，那枪肯定是有问题，你可
以送回厂家修理。 平时手枪只要每次打完清理，关键时候打响绝对没有问题。
当然霰弹肯定家防比手枪好，但是手枪还是有方便携带的优势，平时在家不可能抗着霰
弹到处走，手枪就没有这个问题了。

week. Price is $429+$20 FFL fee. The whole package is included. As a first
gun for practice and home defense purpose I think this one will do the job
just fine. |
