现在发现问题: 当换用#5,或#3的时候,打出的球弧线是低了,但是距离却没有变化
,还是125
yard 左右(角度低的愿因),场上感觉#3,#4 #5 iron都没用! ----- 我知道这不对。
能有哪位

no gain in yardage with the longer irons.
Two solutions:
1) replace your 3,4,5 irons with hybrid clubs
or
2) do a little bit of weight training to strengthen your forearms
(do hammer curl with weight that you can perform 5-8 repetitions, do 3
sets, 2 to 3 times a week. You will also gain distance in your 6 iron.)
PS: Don't worry, it is not that easy to get bulging muscle. : ) |

club head speed is too low (say less than 80 mph), then you better fix it
first before upgrading new equipments :) |

My arm strength is still very weak compared to many players, when I first
started weight training I can't do hammer curl with 20 lbs dumbell... now I
am considering moving on to 35 lbs.

villegas is a prime example of cross training.... reported that he was very
thin and dind't hit very far at beginning. now if you look at him, the only
thing you can think of him is --- MUSCLEgas.
beside hammer curl, i saw Dustin Johnson doing cable pull like golf swing.
Watched a min on TV Dustin at BMW, 217 yard par3, he use 7iron, ball roll
into bunker back of green!!! no wonder he use 6iron to cover 230yard hole

i don't hammer curl at all.
one thing i tried is deadlift, out of curiosity, i managed to get 2*
bodyweight deadlift. but i don't see immediately results. now i can no
longer deadlift that much, last time at gym is only 1.7 bodyweight * 3
repititions. but swing speed jumped because of better technique. once at
watering at golfwrx, one guy said he could squat 400lbs, and he saw nothing
special with his swing spee

us amateur. For those of us who don't lift anything heavier than a bag of
grocery or a laptop, in our daily grind. The initial gain in distance is
quite significant, usually 15-20 yards off driver.
My golf buddy gained almost 40yds off his drive by holding his 40lbs little
girl everyday. He said he gained not only forearm strength but shoulder and
core strength too. (what an unexpected benefit!)

我建议你找根pitching wedge试试,看看能打多少。

- lag要做好
- 注意swing的tempo,包括下杆加速的过程(最快点在击球瞬间,别一开始下杆就太快)
- follow through得充分
不是啥高手,共勉吧。呵呵

bit open then... now he regularly hits it anything between 260-280... sigh.

I am trying to keep-up and stay within 2 clubs ... so we can still hit from
the same teebox.
