using woods, 200 yards is no a problem. however, for beginners (at least me)
, percentage of woods mishit is quite high.
for a while, i asked the same question, and tried hard for 200 yards. now i
feel pain in right elbow . I thought chipping or pitching is okay, but pain
does not go away. Remove golf bag from my car, shutdown playing or practice
entirely.

1. 很牛的，用3-iron或者2-iron直接approach。这个没有一些年的苦功是肯定不行。
2. 一般牛的，用20度上下的hybrid。这样准星会差不少，但是容易打出来playable sh

well, at least theoretically, it will be solved.
200-yard is intimidating.. it could be faced several times when you play
some golf course longer than 6500 yards. Well, like i said, each hole for a
golf course in US is predictable, based on the course length.
wind/slope can substantially affect your 200-yard club. 7/6 iron is
absolutely an option. 5iron could be the typical club for the distance,
given the normal teebox a

发帖数: 3067 | 5 i never never hit any iron into 200, not yet, even my 3iron.
usually, i use hybrid to rescue, which is from 180-210 for me. during
weekend gathering, i realized, without solid iron, it is very hard to manage
the course. my driver was ok, 230-240 on fairway, but, i found myself
constantly face 200, and i need pull my hybrid again and again. best case,
reach green side, and then one chip, 2 putts, bogey.
i know everything lead to working on swing fundamental, but as vankie said,

switching to the new swing.

发帖数: 904 | 7 another thing, work on your short games. if u r good at wedges, it can
compensate a lot for the lack of distance. one of the guys i play with can
only hit his driver 200 yards, but can still shoot in the 80s on 6500+ yards
courses. his chipping is amazing.

last time, when we played at sunnyvale course, i thought my main problem was
less-than-50-yard-short-game.
now i compared two courses, realized sunnyvale course is 6200+ yards (black
tee), most of my approaching shots were less than 200, and palo alto is 6500
+ yards (blue tee), and most approaching shots are over 200.
looks like i need work on both fundamental and short game. //hehe
isnt it everything?
