two IF 10+ papers published in postdoc period. I applied 60+ positions and
got three interviews and only one offer. So I have no choices and accepted
this only offer,which is a 50-100 public university. I feel matching is
pretty important, but it is hard to know from the job ad. So the more you
apply, the more opportunities you may get.
In addition, the research statement is important. It may not please everyone
, but it is enough if there is one chair liking it.
Interview is important, also not important. I can feel I am not their
favorite during some interview although I did everything well. So I think
some committees have made a kind of choices before inviting on-sites.
