发帖数: 1151 | 2 I claimed tax treaty using article 19 (I was not in US for two years before
I got the current job).
I filled the tax form 2009 and so far it worked well. Article 19 certainly
applies
for federal tax but it differs for different states regarding the state tax.
But I am not sure if article 19 applies or not when you became a faculty
right after you finished your postdoc/phd, for example, in US.
To my knowledge, you were supposed to be a non-resident of US and a
resident of China when you became |
