了，只有去年交的CAREER benefit from the stimulus package.
因为大家都觉得今年的会benefit from stimulus package too（事实上其实不会），
说不定今天竞争更激烈，我也在写CAREER，已经开始担心:(
By the way, if you track the NSF CAREER received this year, you will find
out some of them have special 'note' showing those specific CAREERS benefit
from stimulus package.

区别 好的proposal在经费紧张时仍然能中奖 差的proposal在钱再多时也不会中
俺知道有个program 有了ARRA的钱时 中奖率从10%涨到15% 还是很难拿的

in May this year. They were very lucky. However, for those who got career
in December/Jan, the funding rate was almost the lowest in the history, as
there was a 10% cut for career awards if without the stimulus money.

The competition for CAREER awards is intense. Last year we evaluated 35
CAREER proposals. Originally, we were going to make only two, but the ARRA
funds have enabled us to double that amount. We also are using ARRA funds
to reduce our commitments for future fiscal years, so we hope to have more
discretionary funds to support more awards in the future. |

地区的,才算是后门。NSF EPSCoR 支持的grants 都是jointly在 EXP PROG TO STIM
COMP RES 这个 program. |

So, if you really want to see how good a proposal is. Check the NSF web to see whether it is from epscor or stimulus package. :-)

从这几年的经验看， 没有感觉EPSCOR能给我们带来什么好处。 去年我的一个PROPOSAL
