前几天我看到一个 NSF career proposal, 一共四个reviews: VG/G, G, VG/G, G. 连
一个E都没有,居然能拿到career award.真的让人很无语! |

发帖数: 414 | 12 我的career最低的分数是E/VG。没拿到钱的原因是因为topic不是PD优先资助的方向。
我已经想开了。只要同行认可我的工作，最后能拿到tenure，有没有career又如何呢。

不太好。

就像高考很多地方会有加分一样
所以有人说academic career第一站学校不能太低，不然trap的可能性挺大的

发帖数: 733 | 16 PM绝对有生杀大权。我去panel的时候，对有些proposal，PM会给一些hint，比如说这
个学校是教学为主，资源少不容易呀，那个学校这方面已经拿了好多钱了，这次新东西
不多啦，诸如此类，当然话说得很委婉。有些panelist会就坡下驴，把评分适当调整。
当然我觉得这是合理的，政府的钱有很多考虑，所以PM会有不少灵活度。
