This Scientist for Ecolab's Water, Energy and Waste Division will be a
lead technical researcher who will initiate and manage research
projects in the areas of industrial water and wastewater treatment.
This technical expert in liquid-solid separation systems will take the
lead in developing technical platforms.
Having a broad understanding of how chemicals (e.g. coagulants and
flocculants) and physical treatment systems (e.g. Dissolved Air
Floatation and Clarifiers) can be integrated with other treatment
technologies, this researcher will provide solutions that meet
customer effluent quality requirements, minimize solid waste disposal
costs and allow water reuse. These solutions will provide customers
with operational savings while helping them achieve their
sustainability objectives. Key initiatives and projects performed
under the direction of the Scientist will be incorporated into the
business plans of the business unit resulting in significant business
growth and profitability. These innovative technical solutions will
require patent strategies for protecting the resulting intellectual
property.

Main Responsibilities:
• Initiate and manage research projects in the areas of industrial
water and wastewater treatment
• Integrate liquid-solid separation solutions with other technologies

• Provide technical leadership in the area of liquid-solid separations
and wastewater treatment
• Develop solutions with technical differentiation and create patent
strategies for protecting the resulting intellectual property
Basic Qualifications:
• Masters degree in Chemistry, Environmental Engineering or Chemical
Engineering.
• 5+ years of directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications
.PhD degree in Chemistry, Environmental Engineering or Chemical
Engineering
