我觉得是，但是他们说不是，是因为mpls，qwest hide了IP。
查了一下，也没发现什么，请大家指点一下，我知道，ping和traceroute都是icmp的，
但是有点想不明白。 |

tracert的目标是沿路上所有的三层设备
ping/tracert不全是icmp，有时用的是udp

发帖数: 14423 | 5 不算core里面load balance之类的话，走的路应该是一样的。核心是都是玩ttl。
mpls的有点tricky，你看看

support ) ICMP extension for MPLS, it is most probably a pure MPLS core
router which does not run BGP (or at least does not have the route to the
source where traceroute packets are originated).

信息。

* * *是因为每一次是做3个包测试，有些device定义只回复1次，
就会 有 * *

1.是真的drop了。
2.是别的原因。比如TTL规定时间内没完成回复，可以重新定义timer。比如楼上说的
ISP hide了路由信息。
traceroute和ping都是share icmp protocol，但是traceroute注重每一个hop，还和
udp有关，ping比较直接，直接找destination。
所以*是有可能drop，但是不能证明drop
