发帖数: 367 | 5 Verification of Employment letter are not required at the PERM filing,
although any responsible attorney (or his/her legal staff) would request
that during PERM process. Technically, the letters are submitted to the
USCIS at the I-140 stage, as your experience qualification evidence.
A few years ago, DOL audited some PERMs requesting for evidence to show the
foreign national employees can qualify for the PERM position, meaning they
want to see education and experience evidence. But that was very random,
didn't even form a trend.

original may be during an AOS interview, they want to see original marriage
cert, or something like that. Never for employment letters.
What if you change attorney later? Make sure you remember to get the
original back.
