也是真够倒霉的，我今天打开邮箱一看，uscis来了两封case status的信，具体内容是
我和老公的485双双被拒！
我08年10月的PD。不是还没有处理到呢么，怎么这么快就被拒了。而且我身份很简单，
更没有干过什么非法的事情。从来不是党员，就更没有说谎一说了。
大家给看看，可能不可能是uscis搞错了。如果真的是悲剧了，那我以后该怎么办呢？
h1b今年夏天就6年了，是不是就必须回国了？心里很7上8下的。
多谢大家了！

There must be something wrong. 这个版混久了，从来没看到过485被拒的。

你给的信息量太少。一般移民局据之前会给NOID （Notice of Intent to Deny）或
RFE。你们什么都没收到过？

移民局认为你没回复，视为放弃？

Bless. Don't panic at all as this is probably a mistake on USCIS's end.
First of all, you need to find out the reason listed on denial notice.
Then you need to talk to your lawyer and appeal the decision/reopen the case
. It's not possible to submit 485 for your PD now, so you need to keep your
cases active.
You have valid H-1B so there is really not much to worry about. Just make
sure you reopen the case within the time window (30 days?). Good luck!

能等信来了再看了。

是有见过材料不全，不对（记得是缴费不对），被退回（rejected)的。
不过要是 EAD/AP 批了，这个可能性是不大的。

I can only think out two scenarios that will result in outright denial:
1. your petition was filed when PD was not current. Check your receipt
carefully and make sure it is EB2 not EB3.
2. you left US before receiving AP and you were not on H/L visa, then the
AOS is considered abandoned.
For most other cases, including past status violation, employment
verification, even a past conviction of felony, they will try to send RFE or
request interview before making a decision.
If neither of the above two situations applies to your case, most likely a
RFE was lost in mail and your 485 was automatically denied since they didn't
get a response before the deadline.

she received emails not letter, there should not be any reason in the email.
Need to wait for the official letter.
USCIS is pre-approving the 485 now

3. I-140 was never approved(denied or withdrawn). but they will still RFE/
NOID you first if I-140 gets revoked after approval.
