opinion if any.
I have work as a transportation engineering for three years now, and
recently working on changing job, so I come up some interesting topic want
to share with you.
As I know, the major areas for transportation engineering could classify as:
1.highway and street design engineer
2.general traffic engineer (traffic impact analysis, traffic sign and
pavement mark design, signal timing, maintenace and protect o | c**k

发帖数: 109 | 3 Due to my company's business, my work currently focus on micro simulation
modeling using VISSIM, Corsim, sychro, AIMSUM and so on, and pay a lot of
attention to animation and visualization. The work is interesting, but my
focus is too narrow, which limit me to gain experience on other areas of
traffic engineering, not good for future job change or career develop.
I would like exposure myself to some design work, such highway and street
design, sign and pavement marking design, intersection desig

发帖数: 415 | 4 呵呵，我觉得不用心急。做transportation原本就跟土木里面的其它专业没啥区别，就
是熬年头，时候到了，PE&PR到手了, 有了Sr.的title, 还愁职业前景的说？:P
关于你提到的那几个方面，只是部分私人咨询公司的分法，如果你进到government或是
research center, 又是另一回事。我个人的经验，能多接触各个方面自然好，但是能
在其中的一两个方面做到精通也就是足够了。不过俺在这个领域只有四、五年的工作经
验，比较有限，欢迎补充交流~~~

发帖数: 309 | 5 我感觉DESIGN和simulation基本是完全不同的方向，
如果转行的话，是不是现在的经验就没有用了呢？而且是不是哪一个方向做得比较精通
比各个方向都懂些来的好呢？
另外一个问题，ENGINEER其实做什莫方向差别不大，在有3-4年经验， 是不是提高提高
说和写，往PROJECT MANAGER方向努力， 对于职业的前景更有帮助？
我刚入行，还请大家指教
