Job Description:
The individual will be a key part of an interdisciplinary team of scientists
an
d will be involved in the design and optimization of processes for
preclinical,
clinical, and commercial drugs. In this dynamic team focused role,
qualified c
andidates will contribute to the overall strategy and direction of projects.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
M.S. in organic chemistry and at least 5 years of industry experience
in p
rocess chemistry
Strong knowledge of first principals of organic chemistry – reactions
and
mechanisms
Established track record of working well in a team setting
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Would consider PhD with at least 2 yrs of experience. At least 5 years
of
industry experience in process chemistry.
Experience with natural product chemistry, peptides, enzymatic
transformat
ions, and a broad range of synthetic transformations.
Experience in scale-up and process optimization from bench to pilot
plant.
Strong presentation and communication skills
Proficiency with HPLC, NMR, LCMS |
