I got a pharmaceutical engineering degree plus chemistry (PhD), my first job
is in manufacturing technical support, troubleshooting for pharmaceutical
manufacturing. It's totally different from my PhD experiments. However, many
engineering groups, they want to have new hire from science, to give
different ideas or views.
My company Mylan Pharmaceuticals has many or will have many openings. My
group is looking for more people. You can check the company website. If you
get an on-site interview, you are welcome to contact me.
Just my point of view, open yourself to different areas will give you more

positions will. Many companies are willing to train you if they feel you
have potential than experienced people. You should level yourself to higher
positions by continuous learning and self-developing.
