20-30 ranking school should be enough for you to find a job.
i am not sure your major or concentration.
but the people graduated from my school seem to OK in job market.
of course, you really need to put a lot of time and effort on it. |

Yup, I definitely believe continuing the second yr should be the best choice
, but I'm confused now because of considering the ROI and future career.
It's kind of difficult to work in the consulting firm due to language and
h1b, unless I'll go back china. My concentration might be finance, but not
IB,PE,VC, which are more difficult in current job market. So what kind of
financial position i should focus on is my concern. In other word, actually,
I don't know what I shou

you may end up with nothing.
I did some research and found majority of the Chinese MBA students, even
from top 10 schools, didn't find good jobs during last recession around 2002

right now or just wait for one yr when the economic situation has been
recovered a little bit.

I knew 2 persons graduated around that time, one from Wharton, the other
from Kellogg. They didn't switch to the careers as they planned because of
the job markets and had to work in the pre-MBA industries. What they told me
is that if someone can't switch the career upon graducation, it's almost
impossible to switch career later.

发帖数: 15 | 15 读MBA一般就是出于转行或原行业晋升目的，
前者占的比例相对大，
特别是对之前技术方面的经验的学生来说。
当然可能也有人毕业工作了一段时间再转的，
就像有些人不读MBA也一样可以转行一样，
这个就看个人的机遇了，
个别情况不具代表性。

My original idea is, if I quit now, I consider getting a job in china and
then coming back to continue the study next fall.

as people said, location is quite important for job hunting.
so if you r not in a big city, try to move there if u could not find a job

but none in the 2rd yr, so i have to pay the full tuition now.

其实跟你前面说的恰好相反，我已经有一些工作经验了，正因为年纪不算小了，又有一
定的期望值，来了一年觉得以前还是有点一股脑出国mba的冲动，想法不够切实际，英
语的communication skill也不够强，switch career难度随之加大，所以对在美国选择
什么类型的工作感到犹豫，对能否在美国就业感到信心不足。如果无法在美就业，无法
选择适合自己发展的工作，是否还要继续投资呢？ROI就是我犹豫的原因之一，经济和
工作压力比较大。学位这个东西只是锦上添花，工作还是靠实力取胜。 |

i am in Washington university in st. louis.
we have a loan program by citibank without cosign requirement (rate is about
11% now).
and for a ranking 20-30 MBA program, i think there must be some kind of loan.
if no loan, try to use credit card to pay tuition then.

做不成的事情在国内一定能成。不过介于你还很CONCERN三万刀，想来家底不是很殷实
。不知道你的goal是更关乎钱还是权还是兴趣？

发帖数: 15 | 30 目前没想自己创业，所以没考虑到在中国作美国做不成的事
就想有份还有兴趣的工作，不错的收入够自己shopping腐败
在美国发展都会有glass ceiling, 中国那么多人也不是个个都有强大的关系网支撑吧
，虽然关系网的确能成为一些人的捷径，在美国不也需要networking么，倒觉得美国的
networking对国际学生有时还不一定用得上
