and worse. Go ask PIs who are around in the 70s, you will get a grant as
long as you apply in the 70s and 80s, even during the Regan era.

我老板80年代刚开始独立的... 他说现在就是跟90年代初期和中期一样糟糕，但是现在
当然worse一些了... 2000年那一阵是黄金期，号称将近有30%-50%的中奖率...
当然你还可以argue说70s只要申就能中，你要这么说，我也没辙了...
