Position Description
The candidate will work with Ambry Genetics’ next-gen sequencing crew,
bioinformatics colleagues and IT staffs to develop and utilize programs to
collect, store, manage, analyze and report biological sequencing data;
assist bioinformatic data analysis and generation of deliverables of
genomics service projects; assist both clinical and genomic services
sequencing data storage and management.
Requirements
Candidates should have a Bachelor or Master's degree in Bioinformatics,
Computer Science, Biology or a related field with practical experience
analyzing sequencing data.
•Work experience with Linux, Windows, Perl, Python, Unix shell
scripting, SQL.
•Practical experience in analyzing sequencing data, desirable next-gen
sequencing.
•Familiarity with the concepts of molecular biology and genomics.
•Motivated to work full time on sequencing projects using
bioinformatics tools, and willing to learn new relevant skills. Pay
attention to details.
•Ability to work both independently and in a team environment of a
fast-moving genetic service company.
•Good oral and written communication skills.
