Responsibilities and Duties
Support discovery and preclinical projects by independently developing and
optimizing cell based assays and immunoassays (e.g., ELISA, FACS, ELISpot).
This position may manage small, exploratory pharmacology studies. The
ideal candidate must be able to organize, test and analyze the data from
small to medium sets of samples from preclinical and clinical studies.
Certain activities require working under a GLP environment.
Requirements
BS in Biology or related discipline, with 5-8 years of relevant laboratory
experience or an MS with 2-5 years relevant experience. For the Sr Research
Associate level, BS with 10+ years or an MS with 5-8 years experience.
Relevant experience includes: aseptic cell culture of primary and
established cell lines, in vitro viral infection assays, ELISA, FACS
operation, and experience with functional immune assays including ELISpot.
Proficiency with spreadsheet and graphing software is necessary. Ideally,
the candidate will have experience working in a GLP environment. Basic
statistical knowledge is a plus. The candidate must be capable of working
independently as well as in a team-oriented environment. Other requirements
include detail-oriented, possess excellent record-keeping and
organizational skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills. | y*****h

Responsible for the set up and performance of both in vitro and in vivo
experiments. The candidate will set up and perform in vitro experiments
using purified primary cells from human blood or mouse tissue. The candidate
will be involved in complex in vitro experiments requiring high technical
skills and precise planning. Additional duties include performing various
animal treatments to isolate cells and tissues, and to process samples for
evaluation using a variety of techniques, such as ELISA, in vitro T cell
stimulation assays, and evaluation of gene expression using Taqman PCR.
Additional duties will include day-to-day management of lab reagents and
maintenance of key equipments
Requirements

experience. For the Sr Research Associate level, BS with 10+ years or an
MS with 5-8 years experience. Expertise developing in vitro tissue culture
assays with purified primary cells as well as experience in performing key
immunological techniques such as ELISA, cell purification using MACS and
flow cytometry is required. Some knowledge of molecular biology techniques
such as RT-PCR is also desired. Experience working with small laboratory
animals is highly desirable. The candidate must have a high level of
computer proficiency with spreadsheet and graphing software. Basic
statistical knowledge is a plus. The candidate must be capable of working
independently, detail-oriented, and possess excellent record-keeping and
