playoffs for M's and Yankees until the whole team got into
that historic collapse. After 2004, the whole freaking team
was as cold as him in playoffs except for 2009.

的期待给的合约，但是确实是期待过高了。

unclutch performances would not have been magnified.
But the thing about A-Rod is, as the most expensive player, expectations
toward him is high, certainly can not be like toward other players and he
failed those "need to be clutch" moments most of times.

There are always people who don't understand pitching owns hitting.
Hitting 2HRs off Pelfrey in regular season, and then hitting 0/X
in 2 games against Lee in playoffs is not "choke". That's just
the difference between a mediocre pitcher Pelfrey and elites like Lee.

I just gave examples minutes ago. The ball comes off the hand of
a pitcher, so pitchers dictate the game. On top of that, a hitter
comes to bat once every 9 times. Even if Yanks pays him 1billion/year,
he won't bat 2 times more than Martin for a game. It's so different
from most other sports.
Teams willing to pay big money to big bats, because they make big
money for the team in marketing. And these big bats indeed scare
opponents, exhaust the oppnents' starting pitchers, but their impacts
are minor if only certain ABs are taken out.

ps: I think you remember it wrong. For the first bases loaded, ARod actually

only Cano barely batting over .300. With all this MVP talk for Cano,
his OBP is only .349, and hits 4HR fewer than Kinsler, not even convincingly
the best among 2B. Most new Yanks fans don't quite know how Torre's team
won those WS.
