发展，我觉得他们只关心自己国家/赛区球员的最终成绩。由此，中国队的成绩越差越
好，或者说，越不能威胁到他们关心的球员的成绩

Is there a difference?
BWF rules are made by majority vote. If you think it's unfair, persuade
others to vote with you.

the lesser minds of the world are all stuck on substitution effect, when, if
you look at history, income effect always wins.

within the rule to maximize my own benefit.
To me, fair enough. And I won't nag about "Tui Sai" as long as they are
following the rules. And I won't nag about "other people/country" do this or
that to maximize their achievement in tourney.
As nearly the only team that dominates (in a much less degree compare to ping-pong), Chinese-team-interest-representing people with voting power are way less presented in the rules controlling committe. Basically, rules can hardly be changed as MOST of others have the same interest: restricting Chinese-players unless Chinese team is ready to pull her presence out of BWF.
Seriously, I do wish BWF gives up their presence in Olympics (" FOR FASTER, HIGHER, STRONGER") with such a silly rule.
