OAKDALE — An Oakdale woman was killed and her husband injured Thursday aft
ernoon in a three-car wreck on Highway 108 in Oakdale.
The couple were in a green 1994 Chevrolet pickup in the center turn lane of
Highway 108, facing west and preparing to make a southbound turn onto Stearn
s Road at about 1:30 p.m., said Oakdale Police Officer Nick McKinnon.
A white Chevrolet pickup driven by Robert Arnett, 75, of Oakdale was traveli
ng west on Highway 108 when he reportedly veered into the center turn lane a
nd crashed into the right rear of the couple’s pickup.
The impact sent the couple’s pickup into the eastbound lanes, where its rig
ht side was hit by an oncoming Acura MDX.
The impact killed the passenger of the green Chevy, a 61-year-old Oakdale wo
man, McKinnon said. Her husband was taken by ambulance to a local hospital w
ith moderate injuries. Their names were not released because some family mem
bers had not been notified Thursday evening.
The driver and passenger of the Acura, both from the Bay Area, were not inju
red.
Arnett suffered major injuries and was taken by helicopter to Doctors Hospit
al.
“The cause is still under investigation, but preliminary investigation appe
ars (to indicate) Arnett will be solely responsible for the collision,” McK
innon said.
Officers remained at the scene for about five hours investigating the crash. |

发帖数: 996 | 10 就是新车这种情况也是那老夫妇吃亏，根本不能算头对头。
这对老夫妇很冤，好好等在中间lane左拐，硬是被后面的75岁老头开着另一辆pickup顶
入对面车道，右侧被迎面而来的MDX撞，近乎T-bone的感觉，坐在乘客位老太，肯定凶
多吉少，换年轻人也够强。
如果不是MDX而是普通轿车，说不定好一些，MDX的高度不比老的pickup差多少。
RIP。这种事情总是不幸。。。个人感觉还是不适合拿来作论据。

silverado是90年代中期的产品，实在看不出mdx比silverado强在哪里，赞日托的精神
