their infrared ports, but it didn't work. What's the problem?
The infrared port on the front of the iMac can communicate only with other
devices that adhere to a communications standard known as IrDA, after the
Infrared Data Association, the trade group that worked it out.
Unfortunately, Apple in the mid-90s focused on its own protocol, IRTalk,
and was slow to get on the IrDA bandwagon. As a result, even though the
