were an instant success. Work was being done on a new type of computer,
the Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), which Apple called the Newton.
Sculley took an immediate interest in the Newton, and drove the Newton to
completion in August 1993. The first generation of Newtons had extremely
poor hand-writing recognition, and were received very poorly. |
