potential timeline for upgrades to Apple's iMac and Mac Pro lines,
initially suggesting that the need for an ultra-high resolution 5120x2880

颜色难说谁好谁不好，iMac有各种profile可选，拍照的时候是缺省的iMac profile，
有点偏冷。拍完了换成sRGB profile, 颜色基本跟Dell的一样。
iMac的优势在于细节，5K屏上每根细小的松枝都能看清楚。Dell的细节也不错，如果没
有iMac比较的话。W520 1080P的屏幕，相比之下基本不能看了。
第一次用苹果电脑，费半天劲才搞明白怎马最大化窗口，怎马设置鼠标右键。 学习的

21 iMac has not user accessible memory slot.
But 27 iMac it has 4 slots and you can upgrade yourself to 32GB.
21 iMac is more consumer grade. It comes with 8GB so mostly okay for most
targeted consumer.
27 iMac is prosumer and user upgradable to 32GB.
If you cannot upgrade 27 iMac then it's a big problem. But that's not the
case.

说不能算是imac的alternative。
你们的运算不需要长时间运算，和高精度，那的确可以买consumer级别的电脑（我们这
边也好多人是用的consumer级别的）。如果是consumer级别的电脑，那就便宜太多了。
比如dell的XPS系列,i7-4790,16g内存，GTX 750 TI（和2500左右的imac配置相当吧，
当然imac还带个显示器）也才1000出头。
真心是看个人需求了，在完全不差钱的情况下。如果更看重稳定性和精确度，就上真正
的workstation，用XOEN和ECC内存。如果看中外观，就上imac。如果看中raw power，
就上consumer级别的desktop。 |

目前曝光的信息还非常有限，只知道新款iMac将升级到英特尔最新Sandy Bridge平
台处理器，并

苹果iMac的最近的一次升级是在2010年7月，当时苹果放弃了Core 2 双核处理器，

对屏幕 没有 过高的要求,能达到一般家用ips屏的中上水准就很 满意了. 不知到 imac
的 屏幕 素质 比如色彩,色域 等 如何,
目前用asus 24寸,效果 很一般. 大小 感觉很合适. 不过 imac 只有 21.5 和 27 寸.
去店里 稍微 看了小, 27寸 有点偏大, 21.5 稍小.不知道 上时间 用27寸 会不会脖
子转的不舒服.
另外 的选择 是 mac mini 加 apple 的独立的27 寸 屏幕,不知道它跟 imac 的屏幕

定有。
另外 NEC 的 PA241W 也非常不错。不过加上mac mini 后价格也跟imac 查不多了。
考虑到 家里四五岁的小孩也要用， 27 太大。 还是倾向搞个 imac 21.5 先，
主要图个美观，而且没有一大堆的 线材，噪音和积灰。

Inside the iMac, there's a standard Mac monitor connector on the logic
board; ordinarily, a cable from the built-in monitor is connected to it. If
you open the iMac case, you could unplug the cable from the built-in
monitor and in its place connect an external monitor. But if that's really

虑iMac主要是因为它的27寸大屏幕，晚上爸妈不用的时候可以连上我的MBP工作用，之
前一直想买个ACD，这样多加几百块弄个电脑爸妈还能用不是很好么？iMac也挺漂亮的。
问题是：
1. 不知道爸妈用不用的惯，打算装双系统，但不知道Windows跑在iMac上顺不顺畅。
2. 不知道ACD的屏幕和iMac的屏幕是不是不同，反正我在Apple Store是没看出区别来

也不多。喜欢鼓捣些bioinformatics，顶多就是GB级的data，用用R，跑跑Java
program，用用biopython啥的。最近手痒痒，特别想自己整台27寸iMac。主要是老
MacBook速度还可以，又不坏。挺喜欢air的轻便，可那不坏的MacBook怎么说也是
laptop，不想资源浪费。想要么就整台高性能的iMac。可除了上述想玩的，还有什么别
的应用可玩呢？大家都用iMac做什么？另外一个问题是现在的iMac是今年年初发布的，
按照惯例下一次升级大概还得一年对吧？要不要等下一代？ |

我的iMAC是2014年中旬买的，版本应该还很新。
我从itune购买并下载了几部动画片，在ipad4上手机iphone5上均能看，在imac上就是
黑屏，图像声音啥都没有。
请问是不是因为我的电影是下载的HD的格式的，所以imac不能支持，只能买SD的呢。很
郁闷啊，本来想在大屏幕上播放的啊！！ |

，不知算不算是更新了。如果算那么今年最多再出个21寸的Retina iMac。
不过Skylake确实出来太晚，苹果估计这么短时间内做不出大更新的iMac。 |

今天扛去santa clara果店检查了，确认只是玻璃碎了，下面层没问题
但是小二说imac 5k的屏幕不像上一代，它是紧密粘在一起的，
没法只换玻璃，必须整个lcd panel一起换，600刀你换不换？ |
