but the entry barrier is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay higher too. Normally requires
minimum 4-5 years experience from big 4 to get in. The skillset requirement
is way more complicated than other areas in accounting.
The pay rate of SEC reporting is at least 1-2 level higher than other
accounting/finance positions. For example, a SEC reporting mgr can easier
make 100-130K USD, which is equivalent to Corporate Controller position of a
100 million plus revenue company.
If you think you like technical accounting, writing memo and highly
dedicated & focused, go SEC reporting track if you get chance. An important
step to get to accounting executive position.

SEC Reporting的职位真的要求挺高的，我看linkedin上有好些做过accounting
manager的人转去做. 内审好像是部门容易被裁，呵呵
