worldquant的投资模式的核心就是：极限利用新兴市场人力资源+纯数据挖掘。
worldquant中的基层quant多数在印度和中国，原因就是为了人工便宜。在美国那边，
在worldquant中，PM才是选取和决定信号的那个人。因此如果这人是PM，她一年年薪超
过40万，我是相信的，但是一个2-3年的在worldquant中的quant，吹自己年薪超40万，
甚至还说自己年薪百万，我只能说吹牛的水平比较低。

Office的WorldQuant Offer，都是做交易的model和strategy。
这将会是小弟的第一份工作。不管我在美国工作或是回来工作，目的都是两年后能回亚
洲的IB或Hedge fund做Quant， Trader 或自己开quant fund创业。
我自行在网上搜索了很多资料，总结下来的优劣势如下：
TrexQuant的好处是：
1. 在美国的小hedge fund，今后如果要回亚洲发展大家很注重在美的工作经验？
2. Pay给得很高，第一年至少能有10w USD（高于WorldQuant 上海，它第一
年就40来万RMB）。
3. 能直接接触到trading desk，并且能拿model的2%和strategy的2%的PnL来提成
bonus。
4. 小公司能学到更多东西？
坏处是：
1. 公司总共就200多个million，才10来个人，两个主要投资者。听说去年的

decent trading strategy? If yes, and worldquant provide necessary
infrastructure/connection for trading your asset class, just go and hook
some big money :) Otherwise I would have to say no since it is quite often
to take up to 1 year to build a new strategy, worldquant may not be that
patient...(I am assuming your will manager your own capital, not work for somebody else)

talked with current/ex employees.
Worldquant has very little politics. The culture there is like in schools.
probably will pay you better in bonus compared to MS. My friend told me half
of the people working in stats arb on wall street nowaday "graduated" from
there. but the quant developer job is not as good if u can do research in MS
.
MS is full of politics. The worse one among banks. Maybe better than Credit

工作渐入佳境时期。16年虽然底薪没什么大变化，但是年底的时候年终奖一下子发了
300k，税后也有个大十几万，折合到每个月的话，可以算是15年的2倍多，也可以算大
幅度增长了。物质生活水平依旧没有什么特别大的提升，网上买东西依然price low to
high，力求找到性价比最高的那一款。（题外话，这段时期，我给自己买了几个大牌
包包，买完之后觉得没什么意思，很多衣服和包包都改淘宝买，然后回国的时候一并带
走。如今越发不能理解那些为了奢侈品又是代孕又是裸贷又是被包养的人了。）年终奖
被我投入股市，快翻了一番，到现在依旧还在股市里浮浮沉沉，并没有用来消费。

quant portfolio manager工作的公司，特别对于想自己建立一个部门的PM来说。公司
的bottom line cost挺低，PnL的提成也不错，infrastructure还可以的。CEO还是挺开
明，是个risk taker。只要你能deliver decent pnl with high Sharpe，就能获得挺
好支持。对于junior/newbies，应该不太适合，除非有一个很好的desk要你，并给你2

experience, but not as PM, in these case, only you know how good is your
strategy you plan to run, if you think it's sharp 2.5+, you can try
worldquant, otherwise better not go there, the chance you can survive more
than 2 years are not that good. |

题目做的,把实际上是junior quant的position名字叫做PM来interview. |

StatArb book with strict capital restriction. Since each book has little
market impact, in an another word, little risk, they can afford to

brutal business now, even very hard for seasoned professionals to make money
, success rate of hire inexperienced trader is very very low. My personal
opinion is they are hired probably just to work on signals, not running a
book by themselves. For people have no experience running a book, it's much
better to go work for place like Two Sigma,D.E.Shaw, even AQR is better is
this regard. |

要有网从任何地方都可以access. 因为已经接了GS，所以不可能去了。但是这个trial
看上去倒挺有意思，也可以了解一点他们公司， 或者说buy side 的情况，对以后转（
如果转的话）也有帮助。不知道版上朋友怎么看？是应该直接告诉那边有offer，还是
装傻(如果对方问我不准备撒谎，不问最好)？ 有朋友（别的行业）说如果装傻继续这
个recruiting process,那么无论最后结果怎么样都会hurt oneself: 如果被拒了以后
再去的机会估计就变小了，如果对方给了offer然后自己拒对方那以后去的机会也小了
，所以不管怎么样都是自己把自己将来一条路给堵了。 是这样么？
